Todd P. Oxner
Oxner Thomas + Permar |
Todd Oxner is a founder and managing partner of Oxner Thomas + Permar, a North Carolina workers’ compensation firm. Since 1994 Todd has been known statewide for his success in handling workers’ compensation claims. He was in the first class of attorneys evaluated by the North Carolina State Bar for Board Certification as a Specialist in Workers’ Compensation. Additionally, he is an AV-rated attorney with Martindale-Hubble, the highest peer rating that an attorney can receive. A member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum (certifying his experience and success in obtaining awards of more than $1,000,000.00 for his clients) he feels a greater accomplishment is successfully representing hundreds of injured workers from the earliest stages of their claims through the Industrial Commission, the Court of Appeals, to the Supreme Court, and back. He has been named by NC Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in the state and is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and also the Workers' Injury Law and Advocacy Group (Board of Directors).
Born in San Francisco, California, Todd attended Prairie Bible College in Three Hills, Alberta. He then served the U.S. Army and was stationed in Panama. Upon honorable discharge Todd studied at Tel Aviv University and graduated with honors from San Jose State University. Todd then went to the University of Iowa on scholarship to work on a Ph.D. in Religion. After doing fieldwork in India and Nepal to study how religion affects legal systems Todd earned a law degree with academic honors. While he still loves reading and studying South Asian culture, he's even happier practicing law. He's the proud father of Claire and Owen Oxner.
